As one of Charlotte’s most established neighborhoods, Cotswold is known for its stately brick colonials on expansive lots, along with luxury new construction homes. Just 15 minutes from Uptown off Randolph Road, Cotswold feels like a world away, with quiet, winding streets lined with mature trees.

Neighbors love visiting Cotswold Village Shops, one of the city’s first open-air shopping centers, which features more than 30 tenants, including a Harris Teeter, Marshalls, PetSmart, Walgreens, Starbucks and a number of restaurants such as Thai House, Wolfman Pizza, Panera, Piada Italian Street Food, Smashburger, Capital Tacos and more.

Just down Sharon Amity Road, you’ll find Eddie’s Place – especially popular for breakfast on the weekends – and Leroy Fox for upscale Southern cuisine. Off Monroe Road, Common Market Oakwold is named for its location between the Oakhurst and Cotswold neighborhoods, is a great place to enjoy a sandwich, drink a beer and listen to some live music.

Every Saturday from May through October, local farmers, ranchers and crafters sell their wares at the Cotswold Farmers Market in the parking lot of Providence Baptist Church.

At Strawberry Hill Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Fairview and Sardis roads, pick up groceries at newly expanded The Fresh Market or browse the designs at Alexander Scott Interiors. Enjoy upscale Tex-Mex at Superica, Asian cuisine at Thai Orchid, authentic Italian at Aqua e Vino or American fare at Red Rocks Café.   

Tucked away in the Cotswold neighborhood, Charlotte Swim and Racquet Club has a 70-year legacy of serving members with a massive L-shaped pool, tennis courts, swim and dive teams, and social activities.

Off Wendover, the Naomi Drenan Recreation Center is a popular spot for basketball and youth programs, along with Grayson SkatePark, one of the Charlotte’s dedicated skateboarding parks. Oakhurst Park off Craig Avenue also features a playground, basketball court and baseball field.

One of the greatest benefits of living in Cotswold is the high-performing schools, including Billingsville Cotswold IB Elementary, Randolph IB Middle or Alexander Graham Middle, and Myers Park High School.
