Eastover

Originally Spring Dale Dairy Farm, the Eastover neighborhood is located between Providence and Randolph roads, near Myers Park and Chantilly. It was developed in 1927 and boasts a collection of Georgian and Tudor Revival homes. It was also the first Queen City suburb to have driveways.

Eastover’s historic homes have housed local leaders like former chairman and CEO of Bank of America Hugh McColl, Jr. and John M. Belk, former Charlotte mayor and head of department store chain Belk.

Today the community is dotted with delightful restaurants, public tennis courts and charming shops. Since Eastover is self-contained, residents can walk to Not Just Coffee and Harris Teeter. Culture is just around the corner at The Mint Museum of Art, an internationally renowned art museum, which houses collections of ancient American, European and African art, as well as ceramic and decorative art.

Young scholars in the neighborhood can attend Eastover Elementary School, the area’s oldest elementary school built in 1935, and an Honor School of Excellence.
